East Gippsland Shire Council is inviting Seniors to be transported back to the decade when ABBA ruled the dancefloor with the ‘SOS: The Australian Abba Tribute Show’ announced as part of the Seniors Festival Victoria – and entry is free for Seniors.
Council says it will be a concert of the greatest hits from the Swedish super-group and the hottest disco tracks from the 1970s that will make you want to get up and dance.
The show follows the lives of four mild-mannered musicians who have a healthy love of all things Swedish and an obsession with ’70s disco music.
They band together to obsessively recreate the sound, music and look of ABBA. Walking out on stage, they leave behind their everyday lives and transform into the rock superstars – Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Frida.
The free concert is designed as an opportunity for seniors to come together, enjoy morning tea and experience some great entertainment.
SOS is on at 10.30 am, Friday 18 March, at Bairnsdale Sporting & Convention Centre, 117 Great Alpine Rd, Lucknow. Tickets are free (seniors only), you will need to prove your triple vaccination status upon entry, and the use of face masks inside is encouraged. Bookings are essential by calling (03) 5153 9500.
