Two-week traffic jam music festival Austin City Limits Festival has announced it’s lineup for 2022. The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Paramore join Lil Nas X, P!nk, The Chicks, SZA, Kacey Musgraves, and Flume as headliners in Zilker Park on Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16.
The lineup, announced on Tuesday, May 10, includes more than 100 bands across eight stages. Rounding out the lineup is electronic musician Diplo, Japanese Breakfast, Austin rockers Spoon, and Mark Kozalek’s sworn enemies The War on Drugs.
Week one exclusives include Carly Rae Jepsen, Aly & AJ, and Asleep at the Wheel. ACL Fest mainstays Phoenix, Princess Nokia, and Wet Leg all play week two only.

The VIP pass will cost $1,400 and includes free beer, wine, and cocktails, spa treatments, and access to premium viewing decks. Single-day passes will be available when daily lineups are announced.
Cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ACL Festival returned in 2021 with performances by Miley Cyrus, George Strait, Doja Cat, and a partial one by Phoebe Bridgers. Austin Mayor Steve Adler is expected to announce the economic impact of ACL Festival’s 2021 return at a press conference on Tuesday.
Austin City Limits Festival debuted in 2002 as a one-weekend event. Beginning in 2013, the fest expanded to its current two-weekend format.
